About
An empty room grows bright; what is auspicious comes, and stays.
This site is a quiet place — some writing, a small corner where anyone curious might pause for a moment.
The internet age does not have to mean noise. A person can choose not to be pushed by algorithms, not to accumulate audiences on social platforms, and still meet — fully, in the right moment — the right people. The design of this site, with its plain typeface, paper-white ground, and generous white space, is a small act of respect for that quality of presence.
The line "An empty room grows bright; what is auspicious comes, and stays" is drawn from the Zhuangzi, in the chapter "In the World of Men." Where there is space, there is light; what is auspicious, when it is willing to stay, will keep on staying. My hope is that this place is something like that — not made to be filled, nor to hold on to anything, but a place where meeting is allowed simply to be meeting.
Knowing me
One never truly knows a person through a profile or a résumé. If you have looked through the site and the links and still want to know more, the better paths are to read Plurality, in which I am a co-author, to write, or to meet, when the moment is right.
Most of what I do does not appear under my name. It exists inside collaboratively written chapters, inside the public policies we move together, between the communities being connected. If something here resonates with you, it is likely not because of me — it is because the work itself, this work of symbiosis, is part of a larger circle that includes you too.
A note on the build
This site is built with Astro and deployed as static files. There are no trackers, no third-party analytics, and no cookies. Content is offered in Chinese and English; the English text is a natural translation rather than a literal one. If you spot an error or have a suggestion, you are welcome to share it through an appropriate channel.
May the quiet here keep you small company, for a moment.
